The Society has had an original Court No. 8 sign donated by a local resident whose father rescued it from a skip at the time that the houses in Court No. 8, Aughton Street, Ormskirk, were demolished. Court No. 8 was situated on what is now the site of Morrisons Supermarket. In order to try and get the sign put back into its original position, we contacted the Supermarket. They have been very helpful, and have agreed to have the sign renovated and situated as close to the original position as possible, at their expense.
We would like to thank Morrisons for undertaking this and look forward to seeing the sign in place in the near future.
